Open the Steam application and log into your account.
In the top menu, click on Games.
Select Activate a Product on Steam....
A product activation window will open: click Next, read the agreement, then click Next again.
Paste or type the key you received into the field and click Next.
Steam will validate the key; if valid, the game will be added to your library.
Download and install the game from your library to start playing.
Log in to https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey with your Steam account.
Enter the key in the field provided and follow the instructions to complete activation.
